Cultivate thankfulness in your mind and heart by writing scripture each day. Short, powerful verses keep your focus on what matters.
I have for you a 30-day scripture writing plan for November. Each verse is short, yet powerful; perfect for a busy month. Each scripture is selected to remind you where your help and every blessing comes from, as well as blessings to thank God for specifically.
WHY DAILY SCRIPTURE WRITING?
Psalm 1:1-3 tells us,
“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all he does, he prospers.”
A wise (woman) delights in the law of the LORD, and she meditates on it day and night.
To meditate is not the “New Age, chanty stuff” that may come to mind initially. NO!
It means, here, “to murmur; by implication, to ponder, imagine, speak, study, utter…” (Strong’s translation). The biblical definition of meditating is “the act of filling one’s mind with Scripture, and dwelling on God and all that he offers to humanity.” (justdisciple.com)
We are to read Scripture and then dwell on it all day! One of the simplest ways to do this is to read it and then write it. When you write something down you are more likely to remember it, therefore you can “carry” it with you all day as you ponder the verse(s) in your mind and on you heart. Scripture writing is a very simple but effective discipline for believers to grow in the Word.
This is also a meaningful way for the whole family to connect as part of a scripture-filled home.
WHERE DO I WRITE IT?
You, of course, have tireless options for what to keep your scripture writing in. You could do it on note cards, in a $1 journal from the store, or a beautiful art journal as a keepsake or coffee table conversation piece. How about you do it on post-it notes and then stick it on your bathroom mirror or somewhere you will see it all day. Or, how about on a dry erase board on the fridge?! Oh! The bathroom mirror itself can be written on with a dry erase marker! See, endless possibilities and no excuses! Ha!
It doesn’t matter as much the where as it does that you DO it.

Each day on @casey_thesefullhands a beautiful verse image will be shared along with the overall writing plan. You can download the plan image at the top of the post and save it to your phone as well. I have also created a .pdf so you have an option to meet whatever need you think will best serve you!
